Fall is finally officially here, for at least a week, in Florida and I could not be more thrilled to start sharing with you looks for this amazing weather. I mentioned this outfit briefly in my boots post a while back but I wanted to dive in a little more because it is the perfect fall outfit.
I love the oversized trend and this oversized grid plaid tunic is something I’m loving. It has pockets and great length, so it’s awesome with skinny jeans and leggings. It’s even long enough that I would consider wearing this with very opaque tights and over the knee boots for a sexier nighttime winter look.
I’m also pretty open about my love of Old Navy Rockstar skinny jeans. They fit every body type perfectly and have just enough stretch in them to really stay comfortable in all day. They come in a variety of colors, washes, and unique details, but these black distressed ones have been a constant fav of mine for over a year now. I love how high end they look for under $50!
I managed to snag this $20 Maroon Felt Wide-Brim Fedora at Nordstrom Rack and have yet to find as great a deal since, but any kind of felt hat adds a great finishing touch to a fun fall look. For me, maroon is THE color of fall and this year velvet/felt touches are THE texture of fall. <3
I finished the look off with these amazing designer dupe boots from ShoeDazzle. I can’t get enough of good boots with my outfits when the air is crisp, and I like that these add a great designer flare to polish any outfit off with.
Accessory wise, since the neckline of this top is a flat collar, I loosely tied a black leather cord choker into a bow, for a feminine element, and tossed all my stuff into a large maroon printed Sam Edelman tote. I love big tote bags that allow me to throw whatever I need for the day inside and run out the door, they’re really functional in my everyday life. The print on this one screams fall and is very similar to a much pricier designer’s signature print without the huge price tag so win-win!
I wore this look out with my friend Alex of Malty Fashion <who took all these amazing pics>and we took a trip to the pumpkin patch in my neighborhood. It was such a fun time and we had a great time playing (and maybe kissing because we MIGHT be a little basic) with all the pumpkins and feeling the fall fashion! What are your fall fashion essentials?
