While it’s no where near sweater weather here in Florida, fall is upon us and I love a good fall fashion outfit and couldn’t resist the urge to start a fall staple series where I share with you all the must-haves for fall and winter! It’ll at least cool off enough some mornings and we’ll have a couple out of town trips to justify grabbing a few fall essentials for our lifestyle. I’m starting off the series with this amazing RD Style chunky neutral sweater that I received in my last StitchFix box.
While I wasn’t super impressed with my first StitchFix, I must say each box gets better and better, as my stylist gets to know me and my preferences, so with every box I feel like she’s consistently improving which really makes me look forward to each and every package. Getting back to this sweater, I really love the versatility I get from it. It’s a tunic style so it’s longer in the back to look great with leggings and boots on cooler days. I loved styling it over a pleated skirt with black velvet heels for a more playful daytime fall ensemble.
I also plan on doing this with a short bodycon mini skirt in black with black over-the-knee boots, it’ll almost appear to be a sweater dress with that look, however my butt will literally be covered.
For this outfit I added a quilted Kate Spade bag which adds a nice extra feminine touch to the already flirty outfit. This maroon felt wide-brim fedora is the perfect touch of fall to really make the outfit stand apart. More on fall hats as a staple later though…
Just thinking of all the different ways I can rock this sweater over the next few months is making me so excited. Staples are all about versatility, so make sure you know you can get the most bang for your buck when investing in them. That’s why I really love Stitchfix, the opportunity to try clothes on at home and piece them with items you already own makes it well worth the $20 styling fee (which goes towards any item you keep).
