So another really great versatile piece to have in your closet is a great flannel shirt. You can choose any color but flannel tops make great year round pieces for your wardrobe. You can pair them over tees/tanks with denim shorts in the spring/summer, or layer them with sweaters/jackets/jeans in the cooler months.
Target is always such a great place to pick up affordable trendy clothing with a lot of bang for your buck. I grabbed this flannel for $20 and they have a TON of different color options, but I felt the black and white was so classic that I could wear it in any way I wanted. Getting one versatile piece for only $20 is such a steal, plus they’ll always carry something similar year after year, so as long as I can tie it around my hips, it’s a great addition to any outfit.
Since it has been hella cold outside lately, I wore this flannel with a faux leather moto jacket and distressed black jeans for a family outing last weekend. To add some color and polishedness to the look, I opted for these maroon tassel earrings as a simple and easy accessory to the look.
On these cooler days, I find myself in tennis shoes or boots I can wear thick socks with to keep my feet warm. You northerners may poke fun- but I’m a Florida girl, and anything under 40 degrees is basically freezing to me, so I need all the warmth I can get. These Adidas Superstars are one of my favorite sneakers, I continue to get so much use out of them and I’ve almost had them for 2 years now! Such a great investment.
How are you wearing your flannels and what colors do you have? I’m currently only at this black and white one, and a classic red and black buffalo plaid one, but I think I need to add one more color variety to my collection- for versatility’s sake, duh.
