Werking it in Workwear

Since I’m budgeting myself a lot more this year I really want to maximize the amount of outfits I can get with each item of clothing I own. When I purchase anything I always think how much wear I’ll get out of it, this makes it easy to decide whether or not it’s an item worth buying. I’m most particular about dresses because they don’t give a lot of versatility at times, but I LOVE adding cute skirts to my collection because you can do all the things with them!

This $20 Target skirt was a find from last year and has since sold out, but I’m linking similar options for you. It’s so easy to pair with casual tops, dressy blouses, and in a super fun way – like I’m wearing here – with a sheer bodysuit. I actually picked this sheer black bodysuit up at Victoria’s Secret and layer a longer black cami underneath it for more coverage, however if you’re really feeling yourself on a girls night out, this looks super fierce with just a black lace bralette as well!

I added a wonderful Henri Bendel bag from their 712 collection to elevate the look that much more. This bag is lambskin and the hardware is jewelry grade plated 4 times in antiquated gold! Talk about quality! Plus I love that it’s large enough to carry my laptop around in, which makes it a great choice for a workwear bag.

To make the outfit a little more millennial and fun I added touches of hair calf and leopard in my shoes and belt. Honestly leopard accessories are a great investment because they make a great statement without seeming like you’re trying too hard.

Since I purchased all these items last year, thankfully they don’t take anything away from my yearly budget. Mixing up your closet and restyling old favorites is a great way to stay budget friendly while still looking fab!
