In Florida we don’t get much in the area of Fall/Winter/Basically any other season except for Summer. Even when it’s cold, it’s just like cold in the morning, by the afternoon its hot again. If you dress for the winter when you wake up and it’s 50 degrees, you’ll be sweating your booty off by noon.
When I dress for the day I always have to look at the full day forecast to plan my outfit. When it’s going to be nice in the 70s for the day, I always like mix up my outfit with a little bit summer and a little bit cold weather.
Since we don’t get to pull out our sweaters very often down here, I took a gorgeous day opportunity to wear my favorite leopard print sweater. What I like about this sweater is unlike other leopard prints, it has just the right shades of brown and the right size print to look fashionable and chic without being cheesy or screaming “old lady at the casino”.
To make sure I was adequately prepared for the warmer parts of the day I paired this oversized sweater with some great black denim cut off shorts. I love the way these shorts fit, they have a slight stretch to them which makes them uber comfortable, and the distressed nature of the denim makes them look wonderfully on-trend.
As far as accessories go, I wanted to keep things a little more on the simple side. This amazing emerald face dark sandalwood watch from JORD Woodwatches matched the outfit perfectly. I stacked it with a graphic triangle bracelet, and this awesome Jenny Bird serpent bangle I got in this month’s Rocksbox. (use code BRITTANYCBFF32 to get yourself one FREE month)
I finished off the look with my Ray-Ban’s and some tan fringe ankle boots, and headed out. My sister took these amazing pics at this awesome mural in Downtown St. Pete. I love how artistic and expressive the Tampa Bay area is! The colors in this mural are amazing and so vibrant.
What do you wear for both warmer and cooler days?
